Slick and Inboden Discuss “Does Bevo Spy for the CIA?”

ISP Director Steve Slick and William Inboden, Clements Center Executive Director, were recently interviewed on the UT Austin Student Government’s Podcast “Politics by the Horns” about the role the University plays in studying and shaping national security and intelligence policies.

Slick and Inboden first provided an overview of the history of partnerships between universities and the federal government. UT Austin has emerged in recent years as a strong but independent partner for the U.S. national security community offering a means for students to engage with high-level Washington officials. Also discussed were various opportunities, ranging from research and fellowships to academic and public programs,that allow students to learn and contribute in this vital field.
