Research Opportunity: Russian Information Warfare (Fall Semester 2018)

UT-Austin’s Intelligence Studies Project is seeking an energetic and well organized student to assist with ongoing research into aspects of Russian propaganda and information operations.

This research initiative is led by the ISP’s post-doctoral research fellow, Dr. Kiril Avramov. 

The successful candidate will offer strong computer literacy, familiarity with neural network analysis platforms and software, mastery of social science quantitative research techniques, and keen analytic and reasoning competencies. It is desirable for an applicant to have a working knowledge of the Russian language and a demonstrated academic interest in Russian and Central European political, economic, military and intelligence affairs. The research assistant will extract, update, and process data from a broad range of open sources. The time commitment for this position is approximately four (4) hours per week.
