Professor Pope Directs a Policy Research Project: “Domestic Terrorism in the Digital Age”

The Intelligence Studies Project was proud to sponsor an LBJ School policy research project focused on domestic extremism during the 2020-2021 academic year. The course was directed by J. Paul Pope, Professor of Practice at the LBJ School and an ISP Senior Fellow. The students’ final report, Domestic Terrorism in the Digital Age, describes the nature and scope of the domestic terrorism threat, including recent trends, the unique susceptibility of American society, and the role of social media in the dramatic increase in extremism and violent acts.
