On April 14-17, 2026, Clements-Strauss Intelligence Studies Project (ISP) Senior Fellow Paul Pope and ISP students served as panelists and competed in the University of South Florida’s (USF) International Security Experience 2026. USF’s Global and National Security Institute, in conjunction with the university’s student-led Future Strategist Program, convened this four-day conference featuring in-depth discussions about the evolving relationship between technology and intelligence, a national security career fair, and an Undergraduate Strategy Competition.
Professor Pope participated in the event’s “The Future of HUMINT” panel alongside ISP student and Tearline Russia Pod Team Lead Eva White, who served as one of the student moderators for this discussion. On days three and four of the conference, he also coached a group of ISP students as they competed in the Undergraduate Strategy Competition. Despite being eliminated in the second round, ISP commends its student team for the enthusiasm, hard work, and professionalism they demonstrated while representing The University of Texas at Austin and ISP.
The Clements-Strauss Intelligence Studies Project remains proud of its faculty members’ dedication to ISP’s mission of not only developing the skills of tomorrow’s intelligence professionals inside of the classroom but contributing to scholarly discourse within the intelligence studies community beyond the Forty Acres.
