ISP Tearline Team Reports on Russian Air Base Infrastructure Development in Libya

ISP’s Tearline student research team recently published an open-source report examining improvements at six existing Libyan air bases since the arrival of Africa Corps, a Russian state-controlled military group, in April 2024. The team assessed that expanding infrastructure development at Libyan air bases where Africa Corps has an established presence likely advances Russia’s military foothold in North Africa and the Sahel, while enabling operations in the region and maintaining a military presence along NATO’s southern flank. Read the full report HERE
