ISP Director Slick Publishes Intelligence Studies Essay in Lawfare

ISP Director Steve Slick recently published The Intelligence Studies Essay: “After you, Alphonse,” or Why Two Different Intelligence Agencies Now Attend National Security Council Meetings, Whether It Matters, and How to Mitigate the Potential Hazards in Lawfare. 

In his essay, Director Slick discusses President Trump’s revised executive order, which requires the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and the Director of the CIA (D/CIA) to attend meetings of the NSC and HSC, and that both agencies participate in meetings of subordinate interagency groups. Director Slick’s essay deeply explores this order and offers commentary on the benefits and risks.
